Summer Shadows
Joss Stirling

Summer lives under a terrible shadow. It drains her, manipulates her and threatens to steal her future.

A high-stakes mission offers a temporary escape. She must use her mind-shadowing abilities to hunt down her target and find the truth.

Dear Reader,

Welcome to the sixth book in my savant series. Summer is a heroine I came to care very much about, partly because I found her so intriguing. She hid her secret from me for a long time until I worked out what it was. In one way I suppose she is like many real life teenage carers, carrying a heavy burden without telling their friends about it, but in her (fictional) case this is a particularly dangerous one that dips into the paranormal world of the savants.

I wanted to help her out but in an unusual way. Enter Hal, whom I thought of as being chalk to her cheese. He has to go a long way to prove that, despite his lack of savant credentials, opposites really do attract.

And of course there is Victor and Afghanistan. I had to save the biggest challenge to the end, didn’t I?

Finally, look out for all your favourite Benedict’s because they are back and on a mission.
